2026 Surface Trends: Warm Minimalism, Raw Nature and Jewel Tones
Softer textures, stone that looks freshly quarried, luminous onyx effects and bold accent colours — the looks shaping porcelain surfaces this year.
Large-format porcelain has become the go-to surface for kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces, and the 2026 collections show a clear move away from cold, glossy perfection towards surfaces that feel warmer and more tactile.
1. Warm minimalism
Hazelnut and light cream backgrounds with soft, understated veining. Calm rooms that still feel inviting to the touch.
2. Raw nature
Stone and quartzite looks with strong depth — crystalline highlights, dark veins, beige and earthy tones — that bring a landscape feel indoors.
3. Ethereal luxury
Onyx-inspired surfaces in ivory and cream that seem to glow, ideal for feature walls, bars and bathrooms.
4. Architectural decor
Dynamic, "dancing" veins used as a design statement: the surface becomes the main character of the space, often book-matched across a full wall.
5. Jewel and new-classic colours
Violet-veined marbles, deep greens and metallic accents paired with warm neutrals for spaces with personality.
Formats and uses
Slabs of around 160 × 320 cm allow seamless kitchen worktops, vanity tops, wall cladding and floors from the same material. At Cersaie this month, "tile drenching" — wrapping one surface across floor, walls and ceiling — was one of the most visible ways to use these looks.
